The Quilting by the Lake conference is returning to Onondaga Community College’s campus this July. Quilting by the Lake is a nationally recognized conference with internationally known instructors. From July 14-26, the conference will offer classes, workshops, lectures, and a quilt and merchant show to encourage the development of quilters. Quilting by the Lake is attended by students from around the U.S. and Canada and features an internationally known faculty of instructors. Classes and workshops are held in two-, three-, and five-day formats, with two days off between sessions. Join other quilters for 2-10 days of quilting, creating and camaraderie by registering now at www.quiltingbythelake.com. During the conference, more than 100 quilts will be featured in the Quilting by the Lake Quilt Show in Onondaga Community College’s Allyn Hall. The show will also include vendors such as quilt shops and merchants selling quilting materials like hand-dyed fabric, thread and sewing machines. Quilting by the Lake is organized by the Schweinfurth Art Center, a not-for-profit, multi-arts center in Auburn, NY.
